Introduction

Medical respiratory specialists specialise in the diagnoses, treatment, assessment, and prevention of conditions and diseases related to the respiratory system. In reaching their medical conclusions, pulmonologists often use procedures such as spirometry’s, bloodwork, chest X-rays, CT scans, bronchoscopies and sleep studies to diagnose chronic lung disease. 

Pulmonologists are specially trained medical practitioners who would hold the appropriate medical credentials, residency experience, and practical experience within their field of specialisation.
