ID7975 is a highly experienced Professional Engineer specialising in the area of fire and explosion investigations. He has investigated more than 1,000 domestic, commercial, industrial, vehicle and boat fires and explosions throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
During this period, he has been involved in the investigations of both accidental and deliberate fires. Accidental fires have included those caused by electrical wiring faults, electrical appliance malfunctions, heater and flue defects, negligent work practices and self heating and ignition of incompatible chemical products. Deliberate fires include accelerated fires and fires spread with available combustible materials.
He has helped determine the cause of deliberate fires designed to appear accidental in nature and has also conducted full scale fire simulations as part of the investigative work to determine fire cause and spread mechanisms in both deliberate and accidental fire investigations.
Explosion investigations performed by ID7975 have included flammable liquid vapour explosions, flammable gas explosions, dust explosions, steam and chemical explosions.
He has investigated numerous LPG fuelled car fires and is familiar with the registration requirements of the Automotive Alternate Fuels Registration Board (AAFRB).
