Required to respond to a variety of incidents ranging from Fire, Medical, Rescue, and Hazmat relating to hot iron process and the plants processing and gas plant operation. Operation classified as a major hazard facility.
• Responsible for the Emergency Services Department in regards to supervision, training, skills maintenance, equipment maintenance, and all other aspects required to maintain and ensure emergency preparedness and readiness.
• Developed documentation to ensure compliance with legislation such as pre-incident plans, rescue plans, spill management plans, standard operating procedures, etc.
• Department consisted of 12 full time emergency response personnel, approximately 100 ERT members and numerous contract security staff.
• After operation ceased, became responsible for the operation of all pumps, compressors, remaining operating equipment, liquid, and gases on site.
