Introduction
Ethology is a branch of science studying the behaviour of animals, particularly in their natural environments and in an evolutionary context. It often involves the study of one certain behaviour across multiple animal groups, such as aggression, rather than a study of a behaviour in one group. It is also very pertinent in animal training. Clinical ethologists are usually veterinarians with specialised education into the behaviour of domesticated animals such as dogs, cats and horses.
