Introduction

Traditional Chinese Medicine is a set of customs that dates back thousands of years to pre-dynastic times. It embodies diverse practices such as acupuncture, massage, exercise, herbs and dietary advice, all in the service of influencing dynamic processes, channels and meridians of the body’s vital energy (aka qi).

It should be emphasised that scientific investigation has not discovered any histological or physiological evidence for concepts such as qi.

  • The quantity of documentary material to be reviewed
  • Whether there are reports of other experts to be reviewed and commented on in detail
  • Whether there is a need for conferences with the expert either in person or by telephone/Skype
